In our way from Berlin to Prague the GPS signal was lost. Strangely we entered a sort of unknown zone where we the Garmin e-Trex GPS devise couldn’t connect to more than two satellites and as a consequence couldn’t calculate the exact location. I wonder why central Europe seems to be a zone for difficult satellite location. Is this a legacy from the Cold War? is the weak satellite signal related to the Iron Curtain?
