Last November I was invited to participate in the conference “Cultura Social Media 2020” organized by the\u00a0Escuela de Comunicaciones y Periodismo de la Universidad Adolfo Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez<\/a>, in Chile, and delivered, via Zoom, a keynote about youth and digital citizenship. Moreover, I had the opportunity to join Sonia Livingstone in a discussion about how to bring adults and youth people’s citizenship positions closer together that was moderated by Luis Enrique Santana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This topic has been central to the research projects I have developed in the U.S. and Latin America during the last decade. Hence, the talk and discussion provided me with an opportunity to review some of the work I have done in this space, particularly the work I developed as a post-doc fellow at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center<\/a> and in collaboration with the Youth and Media team<\/a>. Furthermore, it allowed me to share some research findings with the Chilean press (e.g. press note on La Tercera newspaper<\/a>).
